Definition: Utilize cellulase to catalyze the degradation reaction of denim fibers, changing the appearance and hand feel of the fabric.
Function: Soften the fabric and create a natural fade, laying the foundation for subsequent processes (such as the snowflake effect).
Enzyme Treatment
Narrow-sense Enzyme Washing: Specifically refers to the directional decomposition of fibers by cellulase to generate surface fluff and wear marks.
Effect: Enhance the vintage texture and improve the skin-friendliness of the fabric.
Snowflake Effect
Principle: After enzyme treatment, the fiber structure becomes loose. Combined with the friction of pumice stones soaked in potassium permanganate, snowflake-like white spots are formed.
Process Chain: Enzyme treatment → Chemical oxidation → Mechanical abrasion.
